Not only ballpoint pens for Valerio Pisano who is exhibiting in the counseling room of the Corte dell’Angelo. His drawing technique using pens is however the predominant one in this small exhibition. Imaginative shapes to which Pisano gives an imaginative title so as to honour the name of the exhibition, Alias, a strange word with which he enjoys playing with. A self-taught artist who nurtures his passions with extreme seriousness. His graphic art creations are decisively meticulous and bring to mind painstaking patience. Even in his collage creations, where Pisano could deliver a liberating subject, the order of a visual construction prevails. Even here we find ‘Alias’,  the other; the placement of figures, being naked women or a variety of faces, if closely observed they have their own value but this changes if observed from a distance where other figures mysteriously appear. There is something inside Pisano that deserves to be acknowledged whilst given time his perseverance and assiduous labour will play their part in gaining more experience.
