A short circuit – of art, politics and freedom of the press – an unforeseeable outcome though largely positive up till now. ‘So that one hundred flowers bloom-Artists for Liberazione’ . The historical Roman gallery La Nuova Pesa in Via del Corso n° 530 Rome belonging to Simona Marchini welcomes this exhibition in full commitment to the fundamental and untouchable principles like those of the free press. Mrs Marchini chooses to return to the idea of ethics and politics in Art . “This location as always is the home of freedom of speech and sentimental ethics, it is a place for artists, gestures and words and for ideas and passion”.
More than one hundred artists have taken part donating one piece of their work for the auction, the money raised will be handed over to the newspaper Liberazione. It is impossible to name each one but the possibility of buying a worthy work of art at less than its market value is very tempting: From “Periferia” by Aurelio Bulzatti to “Abdul e Pasqualino si interfacciano” by Paolo Residori, and from the intense photography of Gea Casolaro, Marina Piras and Daniela De Lorenzo to the works of some celebrities such as Piero Pizzi Cannella, Nunzio, Enzo Cucchi, Gilberto Zorio and Jannis Kounellis
